BY KEITH NUTHALLEUROPEAN companies are dynamic enough to ensure that four out of five job losses come from restructuring, a report from the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions. It says that more than 80% of around one million announced job losses over the past 18 months in Europe were due to the need to adapt to technological change, from changes in consumer demand and from reforms to work organisation.
