INDONESIA PULLS OUT OF GLOBAL SUSTAINABLE PALM OIL SYSTEM

THE INDONESIAN Palm Oil Producers Association (GAPKI) has pulled out of the international Round Table on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) eco-certification system, as the Indonesian government is planning its own sustainable palm oil regime, Indonesia Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO). Mandatory for all Indonesia oil palm firms, it will cover plantation licenses, cultivation techniques, environmental management and social responsibility issues.
