India’s newly renamed Maharaja Bir Bikram Kishor Manikya Bahadur Airport, in Tripura state, which has its boundary wall running along a heavily defended Bangladesh border, is getting extra security and a new terminal building. “As it is a hyper sensitive airport, its sanctioned strength of security force will soon be increased from 224 to 330,” Shekhar Dev Burman, director of the airport told Jane’s.
