IMO SECURITY CODE

THE INTERNATIONAL Maritime Organisation's (IMO) International Ship and Port Facility Security Code came into force (on July 1) with only 71% of tankers under the International Association of Independent Tanker Owners (INTERTANKO) certified in compliance. Insurers fear non-compliant ships could be barred from some ports.
