IEA WARNS THAT INACTIVITY WILL SPIRAL CLIMATE CHANGE COSTS

THE INTERNATIONAL Energy Agency (IEA) has warned the feeble outcome of last year's Copenhagen conference on global warming has inflated the probable cost until 2035 of limiting temperature increases by 2C by US dollars USD1 trillion between now and 2035. This is because steeper and hence more expensive greenhouse gas emissions cuts maybe required after 2020, said the IEA.
