IEA SAYS BIOFUELS HAVE A KEY ROLE IN FUTURE ENERGY MIX

DESPITE growing concerns over their environmental impact, the International Energy Agency (IEA) has released a report stressing confidence that biofuels could play a growing and sustainable role in future energy mixes. The IEA says green biofuels, that do not compromise food production, could command a global share of total transport fuel of 27% in 2050 (up from 2% today).
