ICAO RELEASES CHINA RVSM ROLL-OUT TIMETABLE

THE INTERNATIONAL Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has released a report outlining the rollout this year of reduced vertical separation minimum (RVSM) standards within China's airspace. Under the timetable, much work was scheduled for March, notably the development of pilot and air traffic control procedures, and the staging of pilot and ATC training. Declarations of full RVSM operation capacity by project task forces are to be rolled out steadily from March to September, with a one year review being staged in January 2009.
