ICAO ENDORSES FIRST GLOBAL AVIATION PLAN

THE INTERNATIONAL Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) has endorsed its first Global Aviation Security Plan to improve international coordination, response and planning to counter threats to airports, civil aviation passengers, cargo and aircraft. This decision was taken by the ICAO Council on November 15. The plan includes indicators and target dates for actions to improve security measures and planning – these targets will be regularly reviewed and adjusted, taking new and emerging threats into account.
