BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) may have finally launched its long-planned 'Euro 1 billion' budget joint technology initiative on fuel cells and hydrogen but it has received criticism from this growing auto industry niche in the process. This project is designed to coordinate Europe's auto makers, parts manufacturers, energy firms, EU institutions and governments in commercialising hydrogen fuel cell technologies between 2010 and 2020.
