Heather Reisman, 52, was the President and CEO of Indigo Books, Music and Cafe, which she launched in 1996.

She had earlier co-founded Paradigm Consulting, a strategic change firm, where she remained managing director for fifteen years. Prior to starting Indigo, she spent two years as president of Canadian soft drinks giant Cott Corporation. She is married to Gerald Schwartz, chairman and founder of the Canadian multibillion-dollar buyout firm Onex.
