BY ALAN OSBORNTHREE British projects have won grants from the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work for accident prevention schemes designed for small and medium-sized enterprises. The agency announced grants equivalent to pounds 2.7 million in total to 51 projects across the 15 EU countries. More than 450 schemes were submitted.It has, for instance, granted Pounds 42,000 to the Construction Industry Training Board for a scheme aimed at ensuring health and the reduction of safety risks in construction and has provided Pounds 24,000 equivalent to the ...
