Sweden, Denmark and Germany abstained on the vote by the EU agriculture council.This decision sparked a sharp retort from Brussels: "On the basis of the available information, the Commission considers that the aid Greece wants to grant to its cotton producers constitutes a pure operating aid which could create distortions of competition, ...
