GREECE REPAYMENTS

BY DAVID HAWORTHTHE EUROPEAN Commission has demanded the Greek government repays Euro 23.98 million into central Brussels funds to compensate for recent multiple breaches in the administration of tobacco production aid payments.This figure represents a flat-rate correction of 5% on money calculated to have gone adrift. Among other things, Commission officials found the Greeks had failed to provide sufficient traceability for aid payments.
