GREECE PLANS REINTRODUCED DAIRY ORIGIN LABELLING RULES

GREECE’S rural development and food ministry has said it plans to re-introduce mandatory origin labelling for milk and dairy products sold in the country. The measure has to be accepted by the European Commission as complying with European Union (EU) laws before it can come into force. If that happens, the rule will come into force six months after Brussels’s green light. Origin labelling will have to mention the country of milking, processing and packaging.
