GLOBAL AVIATION SECTOR GETS READY FOR NEW HARMONISED RUNWAY ASSESSMENT SYSTEM

THE GLOBAL civil aviation industry is preparing for the 2020 introduction of a new standardised Global Reporting Format (GRF) assessing runway conditions, enabling airports, ATC officers and flight crew to work together to boost safety on landings. An implementation deadline of next November 5 has been approved by the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
