GLENCORE PROPOSES REMEDIES TO EU’S COMPETITION REGULATOR

Glencore yesterday (Tuesday) proposed a deal that would allow the European Commission's competition directorate general so the merger with Xstrata can go forward, the EU competition spokesperson Antoine Colombani has told Metal Bulletin. He refused to comment on the content of the proposal, claiming confidentiality over ongoing EU competition investigations.
