GLASGOW UNIVERSITY LAUNCHES ORGANISED CRIME STUDY CENTRE

THE UNIVERSITY of Glasgow has announced it will create the UK's first Institute for the Study of Serious Organised Crime (ISSOC). Its initial tasks will involve analysing the structure of Scottish organised crime, and assessing its potential threat to law enforcement and judicial agencies within Scotland. The centre will also provide consultation services to police forces.
