GIRL SMOKERS

A REPORT from the Global Youth Tobacco Survey has concluded girls use tobacco almost as much as boys, especially non-cigarette products such as spit-tobacco, bidis, and water pipes. The study of around one million adolescents in 150 countries found no gender difference amongst teenagers (aged 13-15) in 61 of 120 sites surveyed for cigarettes and 82 of 117 for other products.
