A GLOBAL Gas Venting and Flaring Reduction Voluntary Standard has been unveiled by the Global Gas Flaring Reduction Public-Private Partnership (GGFR), which includes oil-producing countries, oil companies and World Bank. It aims at stimulating oil industry associated gas production for international and domestic sale, cutting the 100 billion cubic metres vented and incinerated annually. *http://www.worldbank.org/ggfr.
