BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN University Association (EUA) has called on higher education institutions across Europe to improve their accounting procedures after the European Commission proposed they could recover audited indirect costs incurred during European Union (EU)-funded research projects. Brussels has included the suggestion in new detailed rules for funding under the incoming Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) for research.
