Just days since floods and landslides ravaged parts of Sri Lanka, the country’s apparel manufacturers are warning they may need more time to honour current orders, but predict the sector will recover so that 2017 export receipts are not seriously affected. This is despite the severity of the disaster, which harmed many clothing factory workers, with maybe some deaths – although confirmations of the employment of victims has yet to be released.
