FERRER PHARMACEUTICAL MAY GET EIB FUNDING FOR BARCELONA-BASED RESEARCH

THE EUROPEAN Investment Bank (EIB) is considering lending Spain's Grupo Ferrer Internacional Euro 80 million to buld and equip a new pharmaceutical research and development centre in Barcelona. The money would also help cover the Ferrer's R&D spending from 2008 to 2011 on hypnotics/anxiolytics, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory products and cardio-vascular medicines.
