FATF REPORT PROMISES ACTION ON ENSURING BENEFICIAL OWNERSHIP STANDARDS ARE IMPLEMENTED

The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) has said it will work hard to ensure the implementation of its beneficial ownership guidance, as its assessments suggest that governments are not towing the line.
In a new report for the G20 group of nations, the global anti-money laundering institution said that it would as a result:
*Lay more emphasis on beneficial ownership in FATF follow-ups to its mutual evaluations;
*Make clear and consistent recommendations to assessed countries on how to improve effective implementation of beneficial ownership requirements; ...
