FATF REPORT ON ISIL FINANCE RELEASED

THE FINANCIAL Action Task Force (FATF) released its report on the ‘Financing of the Terrorist Organisation Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)’ on Friday. The 31-page report, following a four-month project launched in October 2014, is a summary of the revenue sources and financial activities of ISIL, emphasising that financing is a “constantly changing picture” and that more work needs to be done to develop countermeasures.In a press call for the launch, in which the Money Laundering Bulletin participated, a senior FATF official said that “ISIL ...
