FAA ISSUES NEW ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR DRONES

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has made three announcements on ‘drones’ – doubling the permitted blanket altitude; relaxing rules for students and establishing a committee to advise on integration issues. The US authority increased the maximum height for permitted drones to 400 feet from 200 feet. The rule applies to holders of a Section 333 exemption - which allow many commercial drones to fly legally – and government operators.
