FRESH from refusing to disclose their own misdemeanours over irregular expenses claims, members of the European Parliament have turned their attention to the European Union's (EU) lobbyists, demanding a mandatory register. This would cover firms targeting the parliament, the EU Council of Ministers and the European Commission. They would have to provide "full financial disclosure" about the relative importance of major clients and their lobbying costs.
