EUROPEAN COMMISSION SUGGESTS MORE HELP FOR HONEY INDUSTRY

EUROPEAN honey producers want more European Union-(EU)-funded research into their sector and better coordination of member states' national honey promotion programmes. FEEDM - the European Federation of Honey Packers and Distributors - noted the EU is the world's second largest honey producer (after China), making 174,000 tonnes annually: 13% of global production.
