THE FOOD industry will have from November 1 to take account of new maximum levels for dioxins and dioxin-like polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in dairy and meat announced by the European Commission. The EU already has maximum levels for dioxins in these products, but not dioxin-like PCBs.
