CONFECTIONARY manufacturers are likely to come under pressure to reformulate their recipes to restrict Europe's growing obesity problem, with a European Commission white paper calling on food producer to assist. The paper called for "greater efforts by the food and retailing industry to reformulate foods", and also "stronger advertising codes" dissuading consumers from overeating.
