THE EUROPEAN Commission today formally launched a major review of the European Union's (EU) Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) with a call for ideas on making food consumers more aware of its affect. Speaking to the European Parliament's agriculture committee this afternoon (April 12), new EU agriculture Commissioner Dacian Ciolo? announced two months of public consultation for views from "environmental protection associations, consumers, and animal welfare groups" as well as food producers.
