EUROPEAN COMMISSION CLEARS LUTON AIRPORT TAKEOVER

THE EUROPEAN Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control over London Luton Airport Operations Ltd by AMP Capital Investors (UK) and Spain’s Aena Desarrollo Internacional. AMP Capital already controls Britain’s Newcastle International Airport and Leeds Bradford Airport; and Aena’s owner ENAIRE also manages airports – but the Commission, acting as the European Union competition regulator, has cleared the deal.
