EUROPEAN ANTI-FRAUD AGENCY TO CHAIR WHO ILLICIT TOBACCO TRADE BODY

BY KEITH NUTHALL A SENIOR official from European Union (EU) anti-fraud office OLAF has become the chairman of the World Health Organisation's (WHO) new Inter-Governmental Negotiating Body (INB) charged with drafting a protocol fighting the illicit tobacco trade. This will be an international treaty aimed at creating worldwide measures combating this illegal commerce, linked to the WHO's Framework Convention on Tobacco Control.
