BY ALAN OSBORN AFTER many years of often ill-tempered negotiation and much heated lobbying in the European Parliament, the inclusion of the aviation industry in the European Union's Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) is now a done thing. The enabling directive 2008/101/EC was agreed last year and published in the EU's Official Journal on January 13 of this year.
