BY KEITH NUTHALLTHE COSMETICS industry has become a key focus for cooperation between regulators in the United States and the European Union (EU), following an EU-US summit staged in Washington this month (June). A detailed communiqué said that cooperation would be ramped up between the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the industry/cosmetics unit of the European Commission's enterprise directorate-general (DG).
