EU-UKRAINE DEAL

The agreement will run until December 2006, or whenever the Ukraine joins the World Trade Organisation (WTO) if that comes earlier, mirroring a similar deal with Russia. Until then, this agreement would open a wide range of European Union (EU) import quotas for Ukraine steel products, including flat-rolled coils and other flat-rolled products, steel beams, wire rod and heavy plate.
