EU TRAVEL COUNCIL WELCOMES DETAIL OF NEW PLANE PASSENGER LIQUIDS RULES

BY MONICA DOBIE THE EUROPEAN Travel Retail Council (ERTC) has welcomed European Union (EU) legislation, approved by the EU aviation security committee that will allow air passengers to travel freely with duty-free alcohol from selected non-EU airports if they are transferring home via EU airports. This new law requires third country airports to apply for two International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) 'state letters', formal certifying compliance with ICAO recommendations, which set standards for tamper evident bags and security regarding airport retailing ...
