EU TIGHTENS CADMIUM BAN IN JEWELLERY, BRAZING STICKS AND ALL PLASTICS

The new rule - coming as an amendment to EU chemical control regulation REACH, will come into effect this December (2011), with bans also being extended to cover cadmium in all plastics and brazing sticks - a solvent used to join differing materials.
