FRAUD victims are to gain the right to receive appropriate information, support and protection from public authorities and to be able to participate in criminal proceedings wherever they are in the European Union (EU) under a new law. Directive 2012/29/EU establishing minimum standards on the rights, support and protection of victims of crime comes into force on December 4.
