A EUROPEAN Union (EU) research project has touted rapeseed cake as an effective feed for reducing livestock methane emissions while also providing biofuel. The study also suggests that the use of rapeseed cake improves digestion in ruminants.Introducing rapeseed cake into livestock feed can cut methane and carbon dioxide emissions by up to 13%, say initial findings from the LIFE-SEED CAPITAL project.
