BY KEITH NUTHALLA STATEMENT of intent to promote cooperation and collaboration in European research projects has been signed by three of Europe's top nuclear science organisations. The European organisation for nuclear research (CERN), the European fusion development agreement (EFDA) and the European synchrotron radiation facility (ESRF) have agreed in this way to further the development of the so-called 'European Research Area'.
