EU PROMISES TO RESOLVE INDIAN GENERIC DRUG SEIZURE PROBLEM

BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Union's (EU) trade Commissioner has promised the Indian government to try resolving the problem of Indian generic pharmaceutical exports being seized at German and Dutch ports over alleged intellectual property problems. Baroness Catherine Ashton told journalists after a meeting in New Delhi: "We know that we have a problem and it has to be resolved. Whether we do it by improving practice (at the customs level) or the process, has yet to be looked at". Her comments may explain why the Indian government has not yet launched ...
