EU MINISTERS ORDER COMMISSION TO STUDY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH PROBLEMS

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) Council of Ministers has approved in principle the EU's health programme for 2007-13, telling the European Commission it wants more information on how health problems are linked to broader environmental, economic and social issues in Europe. Ministers agreed Euro 365.6 million should be spent by EU institutions over these seven years, but this will fund a broad strategy that will be drafted by the Commission next year.
