EU MINISTERS APPROVE ORGANIC TRADE DEAL WITH CHILE

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) Council of Ministers has approved a trade deal that will see EU-certification of Europe-made organic food products being recognised within Chile, without further Chilean assessments of their production. The agreement is the first of its kind between the EU and a Latin American country. It would also see EU regulators accepting Chilean organic certification as legitimate for Chile food exports.
