EUROPEAN Union (EU) ministers have sought to increase the number of trains able to provide international services across Europe, boosting travel options for company transport managers. An EU rail interoperability directive has been approved, insisting rolling stock legally operated in one member state, be used across the EU, without requiring specific permissions from national rail agencies.
