EU MINISTERS APPROVE ASIAN PET PROTECTIVE DUTIES

THE EUROPEAN Union (EU) Council of Ministers has re-imposed definitive antidumping duties on imports into the European Union (EU) of certain polyethylene terephthalate (PET) from India, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan, as proposed by the European Commission. The original duties were imposed in 2000 and needed re-authorisation, or they would have lapsed.
