EU LAUNCHES LATEST RESEARCH PROGRAMME, WITH KNITWEAR COMPANIES ABLE TO TAP EUR95 BILLION BUDGETS

INNOVATIVE knitwear and their supplier companies will be able from this month (July) to explore applying for research funding from the European Union’s (EU) Horizon Europe programme, which has a budget of around EUR95.5 billion. This spending will continue until 2027, with companies generally needing to form international consortia, developing research on knitted products, knitting machinery, finishing and yarn projects, to secure funding. UK companies can participate under a deal secured by the British government.
