EU INDUSTRY COMMISSIONER WELCOMES ARCELORMITTAL DECISION TO KEEP FLORANGE AND LIÈGE SITES WORKING

European Union (EU) industry Commissioner Antonio Tajani has welcomed the decision by ArcelorMittal to keep its Florange, France and Liège, Belgium plants open after he met with CEO Lakshmi Mittal this afternoon (Tuesday). Speaking exclusively with Steel First in Brussels, Tajani said: “I have informed the industry ministers of France, Belgium and Luxembourg that the two sites will not be closed following my meeting with Mr Mittal today”.
