BY KEITH NUTHALL THE EUROPEAN Commission has indefinitely delayed a planned April 29 end to European Union (EU) airport bans on carrying duty-free liquids, such as perfume, bought outside the EU onto connecting flights. International airports in all 27 member states were supposed by then to have sufficient screening to ensure such liquids were safe. But some airports were not ready, so Brussels postponed the liberalisation, even for EU airports able to screen.
