EU COUNTERFEIT FIGURES SHOW FAKES BOOM CONTINUES

It says EU customs officials seized more than 250 million fake items in 2006, compared with 75 million in 2005 and 100 million in 2004. Cigarettes counterfeits were imported in dramatically increased numbers last year - 156 million packets of fakes were seized, up 380% on 2005, and with 92% coming from China.
