EU COUNCIL PASSES PREPACKAGING LAW ONTO EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

THE EUROPEAN Parliament will re-examine the proposed key food pre-packaging sizes directive in the New Year, with the EU Council of Ministers formally approving its version of the legislation, after three months' legal drafting. Ministers want to scrap all restrictions except for wines and spirits; MEPs want some fixed sizes retained.
